Tanya Goreing, Alternative Health Care Practitioner and Instructor, is the owner of Soul Treatments in Cambridge, ON which offers services in: Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Labour/Postpartum Support Service.
In 2006 when Tanya discovered she was pregnant with her first child, she decided it was time to pursue her goals and venture away from the normal 8-5 grind that had dominated her life since graduating from the University of Western Ontario with an Honor's degree in Sociology. Soul Treatments was born shortly after her son Justin due to her belief in alternative therapies and her desire to encourage others to make positive changes in their lives.
Certified in June 2007 as a Reflexologist by the Canadian Academy of Reflexology and Deep Tissue Therapy was a life altering event and began Tanya's quest to find other alternative health treatments she could offer to her clients. Hot Stone Massage (H.A.L.O) was added in September 2007, Ear and Hand Reflexology (H.A.L.O) in August 2008 and Indian Head Massage (Canadian Center of Indian Head Massage) in December 2008. As a mom herself, Tanya decided to specialize her practice by training in Labour and Postpartum Doula services (H.A.L.O. and Gaby von Pagenhart) in November 2008, Baby & Child Reflexology taught by the U.K instructor Sue Ricks
Having a natural instinct to help others, Tanya joined the team at H.A.L.O in July 2008 as a teaching assistant for Reflexology and Hot Stone Massage, and began working on an Infant Reflexology class that would be taught to new moms struggling with common infant concerns. In November 2008, Tanya was offered the opportunity to train as an instructor of Doula Services with Gaby von Pagenhart when she brought her programs to H.A.L.O.
